EPFO Settles 1002 Lakh Claims Including 606 Lakh COVID-19 Claims Under PMGKY
Aadhar-based enquiry for claim settlement status has now been moved
The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has settled 1002 lakh claims, including 606 lakh COVID-19 claims, under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY) in 15 working days.
In a press release, the EPFO said that this is a significant achievement considering the huge number of claims received during the COVID-19 pandemic.
To prevent the leakage of personal data of members and to prevent chances of fraud, the present UAN-based enquiry for claim settlement status has now been moved.
The EPFO has also introduced several online services, including the ability to file online Death Claims Form10-D 20 and 5-IF E-Nominations. Members can also file and update their E-Nominations during their service period.
In addition, members can now submit online claims on the death of a member, paperless and speedy claim settlement, and online payment of PF Pension and Insurance EDLI up to 7 lakhs to eligible members.
Members who want an advance from their Provident Fund Account can now apply for an Advance Withdrawal through COMPOSITE CLAIM FORM.
