Early Life and Career Beginnings

Charles Marc Hervé Perceval Leclerc was born on October 16, 1997, in Monaco. Growing up in the Principality, Leclerc was immersed in the world of racing. His father, Hervé Leclerc, was a former Formula 3 driver. Inspired by his father's passion, Charles began karting at a young age. In 2014, Leclerc made the transition to single-seater racing. He competed in the Formula 3 European Championship, where he quickly established himself as a rising star. Leclerc claimed the championship title in 2016, securing a move to Formula 2 for the following season.

Formula One Debut and Time with Alfa Romeo Sauber F1

Leclerc's impressive performance in Formula 2 earned him a Formula One debut with Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 in 2018. At just 20 years old, Leclerc showed his potential by consistently finishing in the points. His best result of the season was a sixth place finish at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Move to Scuderia Ferrari and Title Contender Status

Leclerc's performances with Alfa Romeo Sauber attracted the attention of the prestigious Scuderia Ferrari team. In 2019, he joined Ferrari alongside four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel.
