Apple announced today that public betas of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 will be available in July. The updates are currently only available to developers for beta testing but will be made available to the public in the coming weeks.
The iOS 18 update includes new features such as a redesigned lock screen, customizable widgets, and improved messaging and email apps. iPadOS 18 includes new multitasking features and a redesigned Home Screen. macOS Sequoia, watchOS 9, tvOS 16, and HomePod software betas will also be available to the public in July.
To install the iOS 18 public beta, you will need to sign up for the Apple Beta Software Program. Once you are enrolled, you will be able to download the beta software over-the-air on your iPhone or iPad.
The iOS 18 public beta is still in development, so it may contain bugs or other issues. Apple recommends that users only install the beta software on devices that they are not dependent on for critical tasks.
