As Hurricane Lee continues to strengthen, cruise lines are forced to reroute their ships. Here are the major changes so far:
- Carnival Cruise Line has canceled all cruises departing from New Orleans through Wednesday, Oct. 10.
- Royal Caribbean has canceled all cruises departing from Galveston, Texas, through Tuesday, Oct. 9.
- Norwegian Cruise Line has canceled all cruises departing from Miami, Florida, through Tuesday, Oct. 9.
- Disney Cruise Line has canceled all cruises departing from Port Canaveral, Florida, through Wednesday, Oct. 10.
Passengers on these cruises will be given a full refund or the option to rebook their cruise for a later date. Cruise lines are also offering discounts on future cruises for passengers who are affected by the hurricane.
Hurricane Lee is a Category 4 hurricane with winds of up to 130 mph. The storm is expected to make landfall in Florida on Wednesday, Oct. 10. Residents in the path of the hurricane are urged to evacuate.
